another cute little guy, only this time a blondie! he was very cooperative and so strong for being a whopping 7lbs! (i think he makes his dad proud!)
thanks “k” family!
thomas is my first senior boy of the summer! i wasn’t sure how doing all of his pictures at the high school was going to work, but i ended up loving it!
another one of nieces and nephews at grandma and papa’s house. my mom is still insisting that she has the cutest grandchildren around! i told her that every grandma thinks that. and then she says, “no, but really i do!” ha!
pretty much every sunday night all 8 of my siblings with out spouses and children get together at my mom and dad’s. the kids reeaaally love it…i think we all do. last sunday we had somewhat of a portrait party. we did two cake smashes, a few family pictures, and a bunch of kids. this is my cutie-pie niece, abby. she is 5 months old and amazingly already sitting up.
one beautiful senior girl after another. they just keep coming! i do have a few boys coming your way soon!
last summer john (my husband, for those of you new to my blog) and i decided we wanted a fence to coral keep jack from running towards the street. we commissioned my very handy brother-in-law, “dude” as jack calls him, or jeremy as the rest of us call him to help john with the labor. my sister katie thought up the idea of a swapping jeremy’s skills for mine. this session completes our contract! i can’t believe this sweet little girl is going to be one in two days! (the wheels are now turning as to what we need done to our house for janie’s next session!
)
here is janie in katie’s belly, newborn janie, 3 months, 6 months, and 9 months!
here she is at 1 year!
and in the show-down between janie and the giant cupcake, the cupcake won!
i was excited when erika contacted me last spring about doing an extended family shoot with her in-laws, 14 people in all. i have photographed erika’s immediate family a few times before and they are probably the nicest people you can find! saturday was finally the day of the shoot and as i was driving to the state park in monroe the sun was no where to be found. i checked weather.com about 5 times that morning on my i-phone and it assured me the rain would hold off until after noon. well of course, about 20 minutes into our 9am session the rain started so we had to book it to the gazebo. i did not want to make 14 people all meet again another day so we plugged along under the gazebo for a while and even found (thanks erika!) an awesome opening under a huge tree that sheltered us from the rain but worked great for photos. everybody was so wonderful to work with and erika did such a great job organizing the shoot!
i am up late burning the midnight oil, determined to get this beautiful girl’s sneak peak up before i went to bed. so, here i am at 1am with a sleeping baby in my left arm, typing one-handed.
