spring has sprung and family portrait season is upon us! i want to update you all on my availability and some fun scheduling news.

april: no weekend sessions available*. two week day sessions still available.
may: i have a few dates remaining as long as this baby stays in until june.
june: no sessions available. i will be on maternity leave! :)
july: i will be easing back into things and taking limited sessions. i am fully booked except for newborns.
august: now booking! only one saturday left and all dates filled up very fast last year with it being prime senior season (same thing goes for september and october).

*i have an unexpected last minute opening for this saturday morning. it is suppose to be 60 degrees and sunny so if you would like an outside session, email me asap. UPDATE: saturday booked up about an hour after posting this! thanks everybody who inquired!

enjoy the sunshine! woohoo!

that painting of the rocky mountains you picked up at gibraltar trade center may be pretty awesome, but wouldn’t you rather have your
family decorating your walls? although you may have a strong emotional attachment to that painting of a cheetah on black velvet that
currently hangs above your mantel, wouldn’t it be just a little bit better to have a portrait of loved one hanging there instead?

pazy’s portraits now has ten wall design guides to help you during the ordering process. i know
how over-whelming ordering can be and these will definitely make your life easier.

here is one sample:

all ten guides can be viewed here in the client lounge. i can also custom design guides for you using the portraits
from your session. just let me know where in your home you are interested in decorating and i will do the rest!

we have a winner!

February 19, 2010

i am very appreciative for the amazing response to my contest! whether you did some referring or became a fan, thank you! you all rock!

after all of the sorting and counting, i put the names in a random (i pinky promise) name generator on random.org  and the winner is…

MOE COBB (i have a feeling he and wife, angela teamed up together). moe had35 referrals and angela had 175. wow! i think baby hayden is getting close to 6 months, so the timing is perfect!

because i am so nice, i also decided to draw one more name for a $100 print credit to be used with the purchase of a session in 2010 and that winner is:

NIKKI CARMOUCHE

thanks again everybody!

it’s monday morning and i hate mondays! in an attempt cheer me up and hopefully you as well,  i decided it’s due time for a contest.  it’s been almost a year since the last one!

here’s the deal.  i want more fans on my facebook page. and wouldn’t you love a free session?

it’s super easy to enter the contest.  just refer five friends to become a fan of pazy’s portraits.  once you do that post the five names (first names are fine) on my facebook wall or email them to me at sarah@pazysportraits.com.  your name will be entered once for every five names you refer.

what about the prize???

i will use random.org to randomly choose a name for the winner.  only those who did the referring will be included in the drawing, so if you were referred and want in, refer five people too!  the lucky winner will be chosen friday, february 19th.

the winner will receive a free mini session (to take place in march, april, or may) which will consist of a 30-45 minute session at a location of your choice along with a disc of 5 high resolution images of your choice or a $200 print credit. your choice! past clients are also welcome to play!

and here’s my latest newborn depicting how i feel today:

my website has finally received some much needed attention! if you haven’t ventured that way in a while go check it out! pretty much every picture on it has been replaced and the new logo is also present! stay tuned for some much needed blog changes coming your way soon as well!

i have two more sessions waiting to see their sneak peaks, but i wanted to update my faithful blog readers on a few things.

first and foremost happy thanksgiving! i am very thankful for all of my clients who have helped make my first year so successful. i am also thankful for my wonderful family, my friends, the two turkey dinners that i am eating today, my house that i love, that i am going to p.f. changs for lunch tomorrow, and especially for my stock pile of peppermint tootsie roll pops, which are my favorite thing about christmas season. i am definitely blessed!

now back to business…i am completely booked for 2009 and am now booking for 2010. book now, because i am starting to get quite a few requests for january and february.

i have also been getting a ton of newborn requests. just a reminder that i like to do newborns within the first week of them being born. this means it is very important that you book ahead of time so i can put you down. i then adjust as necessary whether the baby comes early or late.  unfortunately, i have been turning people down when they call me and their baby is already a week or two old. this makes me sad because i know how important those newborn pictures are and how fast a baby grows out of the newborn stage.  i can come to your house for newborn sessions (any session for that matter), so it is relaxed and not stressful. i know how hard it is for a new mom to get out of the house.

also, christmas card orders must be placed by next saturday, december 5th. you can view samples here: christmas cards. if you had a session anytime in 2009 and would like your gallery uploaded again to order christmas cards, just shoot me an email and i will make it happen.

don’t know what to get mom or grandma for christmas! a pazy’s portraits gift card makes a super gift and it can be used any time in 2010. gift cards

stay tuned for a contest coming soon and also lots of changes coming to my poorly neglected website! 2010 will bring new collections, a new logo, and much more! so exciting!

i of course must end this update with a picture. i actually took jack out to do his 2 year old photos over the weekend. gasp! jack hardly ever gets his picture taken because mom is too busy taking pictures of other people’s kids. here’s a preview of them. many more to come!

i love him so much, drool on his shirt and all!

my friend rachel, of august tea photography, was nice enough to share this picture of her portrait display above her fireplace mantel. we did a family session swap back in september and these are pictures i took of her family.

isn’t is beautiful? that’s a gallery wrapped canvas in the middle surrounded by mounted and framed 5×5s and 5×7s. i love it! thanks for sharing, rachel!

here is a 20×20 story board i put together for a recent session. if you would like a story board put together for your session, just ask!

this would look beautiful on a white wood gallery mount!

this post barely made it in july, but as promised i wanted to introduce the fabulous christmas cards i will be offering my clients this year.

after days of contemplation, i decided on two different sets, so there is sure to be a favorite card for your family.

first off is the sugar plum collection:

and then the sleighbells collection:

decisions, decisions! i told you they were fabulous. :)

october and november sessions are starting to fill up, so contact me soon if you want to get in.

hello there! i just wanted to let my blog readers know that i am completely filled up for july and august and won’t be taking on any more sessions until september.

it is not too early to start thinking about christmas photos! october and november will get booked up very fast and i am going to be offering some fabulous christmas cards, so book early!

and because i hate to post without a photo (and i have really slacked on taking any of my own child), here is some newborn adorableness!
