i met up with these three handsome brothers tonight to take some photos on grandpa’s farm, which is their favorite place to be! the oldest can’t wait until he turns 18 so he can move in with grandpa and work on the farm!

i told them to act like they are buddies for this one:

and last but not least, the whole family!

thanks “L” family!

i met up with these three kids in their backyard last night.

it took a while for the little guy to warm up to me, but he came around eventually (completely normal for a three year old). look at how happy he is talking to his daddy though!

a beautiful five year old, who does NOT have a boyfriend…

and a 12 year old who had much better places to be…

and just one more because i love his overalls!

thanks “g” family for inviting me over last night. i hope you like your sneak peak!

during the senior photo shoot below, andrea’s dad comes out with a fishing net with a ginormous frog in it. daniel refused to hold it. of course, andrea grabbed it and decided it would make a great addition to her senior photos.

andrea is so smart! she knows that sometimes you have to kiss a few frogs before you meet your prince!

i met up with andrea and daniel again to get some more senior photos, this time in andrea’s family’s gorgeous backyard.

andrea’s backyard is a photographer’s paradise. there were so many more photos i wanted to take, but we got a late start and were fighting the darkness and swarms of mosquitoes! i definitely don’t expect my clients to have a backyard like this one. maybe we can talk andrea’s parents into charging admission! ;)

i bribed my great high school friend, alisa, to come home from texas for our 10 year reunion by saying i would take engagement photos while she was home. she must really like my photos! ha!

i met her and rob in ann arbor which is where i will also be shooting their wedding in october. i am so honored she asked me to be her wedding photographer. it is a major complement for me, because she asked me before i have even done any weddings, and especially because alisa is very picky!

take that as complement for you too, rob! alisa is picky and she chose you! rob really is a great guy, and it is no wonder why alisa chose him!

isn’t alisa beautiful? i love the way rob is looking at her in this one:

alisa was laughing most of the session and had to really concentrate when i wanted her to be serious. these last two are how she usually looked:

thanks so much alisa and rob! i can’t wait for your wedding! practice that serious face alisa!!!

the blog contest ends tomorrow. I have been blown away by how many votes are coming in (over 1000) and there is still two days left. i have some competitive customers!!

i hope everybody is enjoying their long weekend!

my whatever wednesday post is being replaced this week by my first seniors of the year. i have been getting many requests for seniors and wanted to get some on the blog asap. meet andrea and daniel! we had so much fun wandering around the alleys of inner-city detroit. don’t worry! i brought my husband, john, along for protection. urban sessions are so much fun, and we are doing some backyard, more-traditional senior photos this weekend too.

and now this last one was at the very end of the night. at this point we were really fooling around. andrea is a cheerleader, and got her about 5′4″ self up almost as high as 6′1″ daniel! ;)

thanks andrea and daniel! john and i both had a great time!

i have been very busy, so it is time for a little fun…introducing the first ever pazy’s portraits blog contest! i picked my favorite photo from each of my last 13 sessions, now you get to pick your favorite from these photos. the winner gets a beautiful 16×20 gallery wrapped canvas in the photo of their choice (a $200 value). voting ends sunday, may 24th.

there are just a few rules!

- one vote per person per day. (cheaters will be disqualified)
- free canvas must come from a past session

that’s it. now have fun and get all your family, friends, coworkers, and enemies (maybe not) to vote!

i met kelly and rich with their little guy, jacob, at greenfield village this morning. we had a good time walking around and jacob was so excited to see all the animals. i hadn’t been there in years, and it brought back a lot of childhood school field trip memories. it was perfect outside for photos and i think we got some great ones! i have a feeling john, jack, and i will be returning soon!

something about photos of little guys with their dads just get to me!

i love his eyes in this last one!

thanks “j” family…hope you like your sneak peak!

sometimes i have to work harder than others, but when i finally capture that sweet smile it is oh so worth it!
