photographing the m family today was a breeze and i’m not just  talking about the crazy wind outside. it’s been a while since i did older kids and i forgot how lovely it is.

mom said it has also been a while since they did family pictures. many parents are really good at getting pictures taken when the kids are little. then life starts to get busier, sitting in a boring studio sounds like less and less fun, and pictures get thrown on the back-burner. i’m so glad i could do these for you today and make your photo wall up-to-date! we had a great time and the fall colors make for beautiful pictures.

this is what happens when you have three kids lying on their stomachs and you tell the younger two to jump on big sister.

and i think this last one pretty much sums up how most parents feel trying to keep up with their kids’ busy schedules!

thanks m family! you were great!

jessica and ryan have been waiting so patiently for their sneak peak! they got married right in the middle of my busy season. i am almost done editing though, which is record timing for me with a wedding.

jessica was a gorgeous bride and they were both so happy all day long. neither of them seemed nervous, just excited (and did i say happy)!

you may kiss the bride!

see what i mean about happy!

getting the party started!

ryan striking a pose!

ryan loved the kissing pictures and wanted to do them again and again!

the beautiful cake made by brittany boggs (my favorite baker!)

thanks both of you! i hope you had a great honey moon and are loving married life!

my friend rachel, of august tea photography, was nice enough to share this picture of her portrait display above her fireplace mantel. we did a family session swap back in september and these are pictures i took of her family.

isn’t is beautiful? that’s a gallery wrapped canvas in the middle surrounded by mounted and framed 5×5s and 5×7s. i love it! thanks for sharing, rachel!

i am loving the fall scenery at elizabeth park for shelbi’s senior portraits! i also loved her outfits and am jealous of her hair!

we also did some studio shots!

thanks shelbi! have a great senior year and don’t practice too hard!

i told scott that i was going to put this first picture up with the caption, “caution, ladies!” ha!

thanks, scott! you were great to work with!

i had an extremely hard time picking which pictures to use for this sneak peak. little “k” is pretty much one of the cutest things i have ever seen. we had a great time walking around downtown monroe.

thanks you guys! i can’t wait to show you the rest!

you know when you buy a picture frame from the store and it comes with a picture in it of this perfect family? they are dressed perfectly, hair done perfectly, behaving perfectly…well, i think i found that family this weekend.

little brother just turned one, so we wanted to do a cake smash. unfortunately he liked to kick the cake more than eat it. it was hilarious though!

thanks so  much, “b” family! i’m so glad you found me.

i love when seniors come to me with an idea for their senior photos that is completely outside the box. when i first talked to krista she mentioned two different kinds of horses that she wanted in her pictures. i was instantly intrigued!

check her out!

thanks krista!

this third time mom-to-be is exactly who they are talking about when you hear how pregnant women glow. pregnancy looks great on her! i was so impressed with how laid back and easy going she is. she braved the cold and wetness early this morning without even batting an eye!

i’m not sure if it’s possible for one family to handle any more cuteness!

thanks, z family! i can’t wait to meet your new addition next month!
