i’m coming up for air again! sometimes i think i may be forgetting to breathe. my little guy has been getting fussier and i think it may be his way of making sure i’m not working too hard and holding him while he’s little enough to want to be held!
this little firecracker kept me on my toes on sunday. it’s a good thing that my favorite pictures aren’t ever the posed stiff ones. i love these ones of her being herself!

you can only be lucky for so long before your luck is bound to run out, right? up until jaime’s session two weeks ago i have not had one session the entire year thus far get postponed due to the weather. i always seem to perfectly miss the rainy days and on the super windy days i get boys with short hair. about 40 minutes into jaime’s session at greenfield village it started raining cats and dogs. we picked the nearest old house to camp out in for a while, but after another 30 minutes we hung our heads in defeat and jetted it to a passing old bus to get a ride to the front of the park. i felt so bad for jaime who looked flawless for her session. we met up again on saturday but this time at heritage park in taylor. the weather was much more cooperative the second time around and i have to say jaime looked perfect again! hopefully because she got rain for her senior pictures she won’t get it on her graduation day, or her wedding day, or any other important day the rest of her life!
…that’s all that’s left of my birthday! as of then i will be well on my way to 30! it was a great day, even if i did come to the stark realization that my angel baby is only an angel for me! he’s really not so fond of other people! we may not be going on any more dates for a while. my husband (john) and 2 year old (jack) made me a yummy strawberry cake. they ran out frosting so they couldn’t do the sides but it was still delicious! john and i had a very nice dinner out and i got a beautiful red kate spade purse, which was a complete surprise. john definitely has great taste (obviously, right?!!!)

how many seniors get to say they were attacked by killer geese during their senior portrait session? only one that i know of! shana’s mom even got an umbrella out of her car to fight them off, but the geese still won in the end. they were some crazy aggressive geese! i should probably be thanking them for the best workout i got since before i got pregnant (and yes sadly, i mean pregnant for the first time!)
on a more serious note, look at how beautiful shana is! she is so naturally pretty and was so sweet to work with!
