class of 2014 michigan senior photographer

this blog post spent a long time in the making. in years past i did senior reps, but this year i really wanted to do something more. i thought it would be so fun to spend a whole day hanging with the girls, get their hair and make-up done for them, have yummy treats (who doesn’t love cupcakes from cakes by stephanie?!), music, goodie bags, the works! i’m so glad i did it (did i mention this was free for the girls?) and am already thinking about next year. we really got to chat during those 4 hours in my studio and they got to make some new friends as well. it was so awesome watching them be made-over and pampered. once everyone was looking their best we went out on-location for a few hours. it was a chilly april day, but the girls wrapped up in blankets and were awesome! i couldn’t stop smiling as i showed some of them their picture on the back of my camera and watched their eyes light up!i love instilling that confidence in the teenage girls i shoot!

i had over 30 girls apply and decided i could only squeeze seven into one day with hair and make-up. so, i randomly picked them by school. i really wish i could have done more and i’m already trying to figure out how to make that happen for next year.

a special thanks to jared masserant for his awesome videographer skills! he summed up our day perfectly…see for yourself!
