it’s been way too long, but i had to stop by to share a few from this little guy’s 1-year session! i’m hoping to catch up on a bunch of blogging the next few months!

i’m way overdue when it comes to introducing my newest love to my blog readers. we’ve been very busy with feeding, changing diapers, rocking, and just a whole lot of loving this little guy! he’s already 8 weeks old! i’m starting to get busy with high school seniors and i figured i’d better blog him before he turns one!

i realize i owe my blog readers some pictures of my sweet baby boy, who is now 24 days old! i’ve been very busy snuggling him and not so busy blogging. i did want to take a few seconds to wish all of you a very happy independence day! i hope it’s full of family, sunshine, yummy food, and fireworks!

a little over four years i was pregnant with my second son and decided i wanted to capture one of the last few days of life with just my first child. so, i did “a day in the life of jack” and i loved how it turned out. with the birth of my third quickly approaching (and by quickly i mean just two more days – eek!) i thought i should do “a day in the life of sam”. i know quickly you forget what was normal as they grow out of one stage and a new one starts. sam turns 4 today. sometimes i wish time would slow down but then i’m also excited for what is yet to come.

here’s a few things about sam:

he just finished three-year old preschool.
he loves chocolate, apples, and pizza.
he’s playing soccer, his first sport.
he loves to color.
he got a sandbox for his birthday.
his favorite tv shows are octonauts, jake and the neverland pirates, and sheriff callie’s wild west.
he was born a bad-sleeper but finally sleeps through the night in his bottom bunk but still loves to come cuddle mom and dad in the morning.
he always has to sleep with his current favorite toy and/or book.
he loves his big brother, jack, like crazy and even has been known to have sympathy tears when jack cries.
he’s very excited to be a big brother in a few days. in fact, when we asked him what he wanted for his birthday, a baby brother was his usual response.
he really doesn’t want to turn 4 because he wants to stay wittle (little). i don’t blame him there at all!
